Welcome to the entertaining and educational world of co-curricular activities! Involvement in activities and organizations can be an important step toward reaching and enhancing your educational goals. Our goal is to foster interpersonal and leadership skill development for our campus and for your career success. We work together with students, faculty, and staff to support social, cultural, leadership, and recreational programs and events. While you are having fun and meeting new friends, your involvement in student groups and activities will be an important addition to your resume.
Take the opportunity to become an integral part of the Penn State Mont Alto community. Join a club and attend campus activities. GET INVOLVED...STAY INVOLVED!!! The Student Activities programs are an integral part of each student's overall education at Penn State Mont Alto. Activities provide the opportunity for students to enhance interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and self-awareness. In order to maximize cognitive and affective growth, students should be involved in both academic and extra-curricular activities as much as possible.
Students at Penn State Mont Alto participate in planning many of the activities that occur on- and off-campus. If you are interested in any facet of entertainment, get involved with Campus Activities Programming (C.A.P.) or any other club that you would like to host or promote. All student activities and cultural events are free of charge, unless otherwise noted. To get more information on any campus activity, stop by the Campus Life Office, second floor, 207 Conklin Hall or call Donna Rhodes at 717-749-6057. Attend the Involvement Fair at the beginning of each semester.
Student Activities and Social Events
The Campus Life Office collaborates with student organizations to produce a wide variety of events designed to enhance the collegiate experience. Whether the Campus Activities Programming (C.A.P.) or another of our many clubs sponsors an event, students can always find an opportunity for involvement. Regularly scheduled events include: comedians, bingo nights, Penn State sports viewings, and movie nights that feature the newest movies available for rent. You can also join our Leadership Program on campus, attend Campus Symposia, participate in community service opportunities, health and wellness programs, Commuter Student workshops, and various sessions on personal and campus health and safety. We offer bingo night, bowling trips, dances, concerts, hypnotists, live musicians, novelty programs such as caricature drawings, photo novelties and much more! These activities encourage social interaction and involve students in the campus community that also results with more positive relationships while in college.
Multicultural Affairs

Past performances have brought jazz musicians, Native American Heritage Piscataway Indian Nation singers and dancers, Caribbean steel drum music, African story-telling, Latin music and dancing, German music and much more. Community members are also encouraged to bring their families to our programs to share in new experiences. We promote and encourage recognition and educational development through musical groups, dancers, theatrical performances, speakers, poetry, and delicious theme meals.
